Trauma-Informed Experiential Therapy: A Modality for Substance Use, Mental Health, and Relational Dysfunction Interventions and Treatment
This workshop is beneficial for staff in the human service fields (ie clinical, non-clinical, supportive staff, case workers/managers, etc) wanting to explore experiential therapy. Many may want to examine ways in which they can begin to include experiential interventions and determine interest in further education. This will also serve to strengthen understanding of the utilization of this modality to increase confidence in making referrals to Caron’s programs. - Demonstrate the importance of executing a full value contract to promote safety and a positive experience.
- Interpret and relate participant behavior in the activities with clientele they serve.
- Take caution not to re-traumatize clients in therapy.
